SEI Update

FY 2018 Elections
As the summer begins to wind down, SEI SF begins to wind up for the 2018 Fiscal Year. Our first officer elections took place, and we are excited to not only have many great returning officers, but equally excited to have some additional “new blood”. The Officers for FY 2018 are as follows:
Chair – Edward Thometz (incumbent)
Vice-Chair – Phoebe Cheng (incumbent)
Secretary – Zhaoshuo Jiang (incumbent)
Marketing Director – Vladimir Calugaru (incumbent)
Technical Directors (4) – Brian Kehoe (incumbent), Lachezar V. Handzhiyski, Francisco Medina, and Shanshan Wang
Treasurer – Mark Bird (incumbent)
Webmaster – Ian Prowell (incumbent)
Inter-Organization Director – Anna Teplitskaya (incumbent)
Outreach Director – Amin Ghafooripour

We are excited about having 8 returning officers combined with 4 new officers; collaborating old and new ideas together to continue moving our local SEI chapter to greater success.

Coastal Cleanup Day
SEI is once again volunteering for California Coastal Cleanup Day. This year we have 10 spots available at Crissy Field at Stilwell Hall in San Francisco. The cleanup will take place on September 16th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and everyone is welcome including friends and family. You can come and leave at any time, however note that the “best” trash gets picked up first, so first-come first-served. Join us and be a part of 12 million people movement all over the world!
