Outstanding Civil Engineer in Community Service

1. This award is given on the basis of demonstrated community service with an emphasis on a diversity of service (i.e. one area of service is good, but two or three areas are better).

2. This award is intended to be given to an individual who has been engaged in community service outside of their day-to-day job and exclusive of their service to ASCE. Areas of service include but are not limited to participation in service clubs, community activities, political service, school boards and planning commissions, Engineers Without Borders, religious activities, youth service and coaching, service to the less fortunate, public awareness campaigns, organizing community events, etc.

3. The nominee for this award shall be a Registered Professional Engineer and be a member of the ASCE in San Francisco Section.
