BRANCH REPORTS – NOVEMBER 2017 NEWSLETTER

Golden Gate Branch:

The Golden Gate Branch October Dinner Program was held at Scott’s Seafood in Oakland on the 26th. Jorge Macedo, a PhD candidate at UC Berkley presented on his research on estimation of earthquake-induced settlements.

Our next Dinner Program will be co-hosted with SF-EWRI and will be on Thursday, November 30th at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco. Matt Bamm and Bob Dickinson will present “WeatherShift Rain: Designing for Future Climate”

The Golden Gate Branch is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping out with Branch activities, please email the branch at goldengate@asce-sf.org or talk to one of the board members at our dinner programs.

Redwood Empire Branch:

We hope you can join us for the ASCE Redwood Empire Branch September luncheon on Thursday September 21st at noon at the Montgomery Village Cattlemen’s in Santa Rosa. This month’s luncheon will include a presentation by Shape Inc. with an overview of pump technology and applications in wastewater treatment.

Cost: $20 ($10 for students)
