BRANCH REPORTS – JUNE 2017 NEWSLETTER
Golden Gate Branch:
On Thursday, June 22nd, the Golden Gate Branch will host a dinner
program on the 2017 National Infrastructure Report Card. Speaker David
Lewis Perrings, PE, M.ASCE is a member of the ASCE Committee on
America’s Infrastructure and has served for the past three years.
Every four years, America’s civil engineers provide a comprehensive
assessment of the nation’s 16 major Infrastructure categories in
ASCE’s Infrastructure Report Card. In 2017 the overall grade is a D+.
ASCE has kicked off it’s effort to update the California
Infrastructure Report Card scheduled for release in 2019. The last
Report Card was released in 2012. Details pertaining to the state
report card will be presented in addition to the National Report Card.

The North Coast Branch is off for the summer but continues to look for board members for the Branch as well as for the Young Members Group that is being formed. The Branch is open to anyone who has questions or would like to become an ASCE member of the North Coast Branch.
