BRANCH REPORTS – JULY 2017 NEWSLETTER

Golden Gate Branch:

On Thursday, June 22nd, the Golden Gate Branch hosted a dinner program
at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco on the 2017 National
Infrastructure Report Card. Speaker David Lewis Perrings, PE, M.ASCE
talked about Details pertaining to the state report card will be
presented in addition to the national report card.

On Tuesday, July 11th, the Golden Gate Branch and the San Francisco
Geo-Institute Chapter will jointly host a branch dinner program at
Scott’s Seafood in Oakland. Hong Yang, PE will present on the Regional
Connector Transit Corridor Project: Tunneling and Deep Excavations in
Close Proximity to Structures in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Golden Gate Branch is looking for volunteers. If you are
interested in helping out, please email the Branch at
goldengate@asce-sf.org or talk to one of the board members at the
dinner programs.


San Jose Branch:

North Coast Branch:

The North Coast Branch is off for the summer but continues to look for board members for the Branch as well as for the Young Members Group that is being formed. The Branch is open to anyone who has questions or would like to become an ASCE member of the North Coast Branch.
