The North Coast Branch represents members who reside or work in Humboldt or Del Norte Counties are automatically established as members of the Branch. |
Members and non-members are welcome to attend any event, which are typically based on local civil engineering related topics or projects. Past presentations include the Humboldt Bay Wave Model, Mad River Bluff Stabilization, Cedar Creek Fish Passage, Mad River Bridges, and many others. Branch activities include luncheon presentations, an annual crab feed, and our annual awards banquet. The Branch also works closely with the Humboldt State University student engineering club to provide mentoring and advancement opportunities for students. Some of these opportunities include tours of local engineering firms, practice interviews with local professionals, assistance with student community assistance projects, and the annual Pizza with Professionals, where students meet and talk with local professionals. |
